William Abranowicz


William Abranowicz is a highly acclaimed photographer known for his meticulous and poised still life, landscape, and lifestyle photographs. He has a strong appreciation for classical forms in both interior and exterior settings. For the past 25 years, Abranowicz has been a contributing photographer to Condé Nast Traveler. His work has been featured in numerous prestigious publications worldwide, including The New York Times Magazine, WSJ Magazine, Vanity Fair, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Town & Country, Bon Appétit, More, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, and Travel + Leisure.


Abranowicz's talent extends beyond photography, as he is also skilled in fine art printing. He gained extensive knowledge of photography history and techniques while working with notable photographers such as George Tice and Horst P. Horst. His photographs have been exhibited in leading galleries, and his prints are held in both public and private collections globally, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, ICP in New York, The National Portrait Gallery in London, and The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.


In addition to his commercial work, Abranowicz has worked on successful campaigns for various renowned brands, such as Ralph Lauren Home Collection, Rolex, Eddie Bauer, Estée Lauder, IBM, Banana Republic, Merrill Lynch, Old Navy, Orvis, and Target. He has also photographed books for notable figures like Ellen DeGeneres, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Alan Wanzenberg, and Martha Stewart.


Abranowicz is an author as well, with several published books to his name. His photographic tribute to Greece, titled "The Greek File," was published by Rizzoli in 2001. In 2011, he continued his exploration of Greece with the publication of "Hellas" by Hudson Hills Press, offering a study of the country's past transitioning into the present. His latest book, "The Mianus River Gorge," published in 2014, pays homage to a watershed preserve near his home. Currently, Abranowicz is working on a monograph that showcases his extensive work in travel, portraiture, and interior photography spanning the past 25 years.
