STILLZ, an American-Colombian photographer and film director, has released a book called "ONE." This publication is the first printed selection from an ongoing series of his work. The book is designed to resemble a "telephone directory" and features a compilation of photographs that STILLZ has been capturing using his 70s Polaroid Big Shot camera since 2017.
STILLZ draws inspiration from Andy Warhol's Polaroids, which were taken between 1958 and 1987. Similar to Warhol's approach, STILLZ uses the Polaroid format to create a living map of America's contemporary urban scene. By employing this medium, he aims to capture the essence of modern American society and its cultural landscape. Throughout his career, STILLZ has collaborated with influential figures from various domains.
