Stef Mitchell, a photographer who defies the conventions of established commercial photography, presents a fresh and unrestricted vision through her work. Her photographs embody a confident portrayal of youth and independence, reflecting a celebration of new experiences in an era marked by diminishing social and cultural barriers.


Born in Australia and currently based in Paris, Mitchell represents a generation of artists who adeptly navigate various creative mediums. She seamlessly commands both digital platforms and traditional analog methods, such as zines and paper drawings, showcasing her versatility and adaptability.


Mitchell's work has appeared on the pages of esteemed publications such as i-D, British Vogue, Mastermind, Replica, T Magazine, and M le Monde. Her talent has also been sought after by notable brands including Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, and Paco Rabanne, demonstrating her success in the commercial realm. In 2016, Mitchell unveiled her first solo exhibition titled "Girl" at Red Hook Labs, showcasing her distinctive artistic style. Additionally, in 2014, she published "New Wives Tales," a limited-edition collection of her drawings in collaboration with Boo-Hooray Gallery.
