Siqi Song is an Oscar-nominated animation director known for her distinctive storytelling and visually compelling stop-motion films. Originally from China, Song studied Experimental Animation at the California Institute of the Arts and the China Central Academy of Fine Arts, shaping her unique artistic voice.
Her acclaimed short film SISTER (2018) earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film in 2020, alongside recognition at the Annie Awards. Her work has been featured at top international festivals, including Sundance, SXSW, Annecy, and Ottawa, where her films have captivated audiences with their charm, humor, and emotional depth.
