Saurabh Monga


Born and raised in New Delhi, Saurabh pursued his higher education in the United States before returning to India to study cinema and explore the film industry.


After gaining experience on various camera crews in feature films, commercials, and documentaries, he expanded his horizons by studying Cinematography at the International Film and Television School in San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba.


Saurabh has served as Director of Photography on several narrative projects, including feature films such as The Gold-Laden Sheep & the Sacred Mountain, Candela, Agra, and short films like La Carga, El Destetado, and Tiznao. Most recently, he completed work on the Netflix Original Series Kohrra.


His work has received critical acclaim and has been showcased at prestigious international film festivals, including Cannes, IDFA, Toronto, Rotterdam, Málaga, MAMI, Havana, and Viña del Mar, among others. In 2019, he was one of five Asian cinematographers nominated for Achievement in Cinematography at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. He is also an alumnus of Berlinale Talents, 2017. Currently, he splits his time between Latin America and India.


Throughout his career, Saurabh has worked with renowned brands and on notable advertisements, including Facebook's "Nayi Shuruaat," Google's "Search Pe Shopping," Nescafe's "Sabor Del Cambio," as well as campaigns for Innoviti, Moov, Campa Cola, Polycab Fans, and more.
