
Santosh Sivan, ISC is an award-winning cinematographer, director, producer, and actor whose work has shaped Indian and international cinema. With a career spanning over 55 feature films and 50 documentaries, he is one of India's most celebrated visual storytellers.
A graduate of the Film and Television Institute of India, he became the first cinematographer in the Asia-Pacific region to join the American Society of Cinematographers.
Recognized with 12 National Film Awards, multiple Filmfare and State Awards, and the prestigious Padma Shri, Santosh has collaborated with renowned directors like Mani Ratnam and Shaji N. Karun. His directorial works, including Halo, The Terrorist, and Asoka, have earned critical acclaim worldwide, with The Terrorist gaining recognition from John Malkovich and securing international distribution.
Santosh’s cinematographic expertise extends beyond India, with projects like The Mistress of Spices and Lies We Tell showcasing his visual mastery on a global stage.
