Samuel Karl Bohn is a highly acclaimed composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, based in London, renowned for his expertise in creating music for film and television. Additionally, he has built an impressive portfolio in the realm of music for cinematic trailers.
Samuel's journey in the film industry began as an assistant to composer Christian Henson. His collaborative work with Henson includes notable projects such as 'Lost in Austen', 'Consuming Passions', 'The Secret of Moonacre', and 'The Devils Double'.
At the age of 26 in 2014, Samuel achieved significant recognition by winning two Music and Sound Awards for his composition in the trailer of the blockbuster and critically acclaimed film 'The Theory of Everything'. This accomplishment led to further opportunities, including composing music for trailers of 'Testament of Youth', 'The Water Diviner', and 'A Little Chaos'.
In 2017, Samuel composed the music for 'Cognition', a sci-fi/thriller directed by Ravi Chopra and set to be released in 2018. The film features acclaimed actors Andrew Scott and Jeremy Irvine, and the powerful emotive score was recorded with an 80-piece BBC concert orchestra at Air Studios.
More recently, Samuel composed the trailer music for 'On Chesil Beach' by BBC Films and 'Disobedience' by Braven Films. Additionally, he scored 'Cognition', directed by Ravi Ajit Chopra.
