Richard Lyons


VFX Supervisor and Generalist at Rixie FX in Sweden.


Over the years, Richard honed his expertise, taking on roles as a Flame operator at various places, including Syndicate in Stockholm. In 2008, he joined a partnership to co-found .redrum, a new facility, where he assumed the position of VFX supervisor. At .redrum, Richard successfully led major international commercial projects, including the highly acclaimed Philips "Carousel," directed by Adam Berg, which received the Grand Prix at Cannes in 2009.


In 2013, Richard sought new challenges and ventured to New York City, where he became part of the Mill NY team. There, he excelled as a Flame lead and VFX Supervisor, collaborating on high-profile projects with prominent directors and agencies. Additionally, Richard contributed his talents to episodal work with companies like Fido and ILP, making significant contributions to blockbuster shows such as "The Walking Dead" and "Black Sails."


Throughout his diverse career, Richard has demonstrated his prowess in Flame and Nuke, showcasing his confidence in handling various responsibilities and disciplines. His eagerness to learn and willingness to get involved in all aspects of a project have proven invaluable, allowing him to effectively manage rooms filled with clients, agencies, and directors. Furthermore, Richard has a wealth of experience in shoot supervision, adding another layer of expertise to his already impressive skill set.
