Based in India
Director at Corcoise Films, Prasoon Pandey grew up in an environment where music, poetry, drama and folklore were a part of daily life.
He began his journey as a professional theatre director while still in high school and started designing light-n-sound extravaganzas in far-flung deserts and forts even before he finished class 12. He then continued to hone his artistic skills at the National Institute of Design, India where he specialized in Graphic Design and Visual Communication.
His advertising career began at Lowe (then Lintas) as a Creative Director. Prasoon moved on to directing films when a client insisted that he direct his own script. That directorial debut won Prasoon the Best Debut Director, Best Director, Best Script, Best Music, Best Cinematography and the Best Film awards at the Indian Advertising Filmmaker’s awards- IAAFA 1995.
Prasoon, currently the director of his own production company venture, Corcoise Films in Mumbai, is the creative force behind iconic Indian ads. His portfolio includes memorable campaigns like Fevicol, Asian Paints' Ultima Raag Malhar, Flipkart's Saree, Fevikwik's Kabaadiwali, and SBI Life Insurance campaigns, among others.
What followed was a most prolific career in filmmaking and perhaps an even more stunning collection of awards: Clios, Cannes Lions, New York Festivals and Asia Pacific Ad Fest Lotuses to name just a few. When the Gunn Report ranked Prasoon Pandey among the “Top 25 Advertising Film Directors in the World”, his bemused response was “Oh, I didn’t know there could be a point system for this kind of thing too”.
