Prashant Godbole


Prashant Godbole is an Indian photographer and advertising professional with a career spanning over 30 years. A graduate of Mumbai’s J.J. School of Art, he began his career as an art director, famously contributing to the iconic "Hamara Bajaj" campaign. Over the years, he has collaborated with top agencies in India and gained recognition for his creative direction and photography.


His photography journey began with the Airtel “Express Yourself” campaign, which received praise for its relatable and slice-of-life imagery. His work for the “Mumbai Mirror - Hated By Some” campaign earned him the Photographer of the Year award at Goafest and a Cannes Lions metal. Prashant’s photography projects have won over 250 awards globally, including accolades from Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio Awards, and Asia-Pac Awards.


He has collaborated with brands such as Reid & Taylor, Redbull, P.N. Gadgil & Sons, and Edelweiss for advertising engagements. His pictures exude a passion for street and people photography.

As the founder of ‘Ideas@Work’, a creative boutique agency, Prashant continues to shape the advertising landscape while pursuing his passion for street photography. Known for his minimalist and evocative style, his images capture the moment and reflect his keen observational skills. Prashant has also worked on socially impactful projects, including ‘#shatterednotbroken’, a fundraising photography exhibition commemorating the Mumbai terror attacks.


In addition to advertising, he delivers guest lectures at art and photography schools across India, sharing insights from his extensive career.
