Paolo Roversi is a highly acclaimed photographer known for his captivating and intimate portraiture, as well as his classical visual style. His photographs exist in a realm that beautifully bridges the past and present, evoking both a progressive and familiar aesthetic. Roversi's passion for photography ignited at a young age when he visited Spain and subsequently constructed his own darkroom to develop his black and white images.


While initially starting his career in photojournalism in 1970, he soon shifted his focus to fashion photography. After gaining experience as an assistant to Laurence Sackman, Roversi began shooting his own fashion editorials and advertising campaigns, quickly establishing himself as one of the industry's foremost image-makers. In the early 1980s, he incorporated large-format Polaroid photography into his practice, a medium that continues to enhance his distinctive style. Roversi is widely recognized as a leading fashion and portrait photographer, having documented numerous renowned models and movie stars throughout his career.


His photographs have graced the pages of internationally acclaimed magazines such as Vogue, W Magazine, and Vanity Fair. He has collaborated with prestigious fashion and beauty houses, including Comme des Garçons, Dior, Guerlain, Armani, Chanel, and Lancôme. Over the span of his four-decade-long career, Roversi has published several books, including titles such as "Angeli," "Libretto," "Nudi," "Studio," and "Secrets."
