Nisha Ganatra


Nisha Ganatra is an accomplished filmmaker known for her unique and authentic storytelling. Her film #wombstories received critical acclaim, winning the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Film Craft: Direction. Nisha's directorial work includes the Sundance hit film Late Night, which achieved a record-breaking deal and high streaming numbers for Amazon. She also directed The High Note, a collaboration with Working Title and Focus Features. Nisha's debut feature, CHUTNEY POPCORN, garnered audience awards at several film festivals, while her sophomore feature, COSMOPOLITAN, premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival.


In addition to her film work, Nisha has made a mark in television, directing episodes for popular shows like GIRLS, MR. ROBOT, TRANSPARENT, and DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, among others. She recently directed WELCOME TO CHIPPENDALES for Hulu and the finale of DEAR EDWARD for Apple TV+. Nisha is also the creator of the upcoming project RAMAYANA, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation and Apple TV+. Her talent and achievements have earned her recognition, including being ranked as the top director globally by Cannes.
