Monika Lenczewska

Recognized by Variety as one of the top 10 cinematographers to watch in 2016, Monika has an impressive portfolio of work in the film industry.


She worked on the Icelandic feature "Under the Tree," directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurdsson, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and TIFF in 2017, earning her the Best Cinematography Award at the Dublin International Film Festival.


In 2016, Monika had two features premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival: "Message from the King," directed by Fabrice Du Welz and starring Chadwick Boseman, and Sofia Exarchou's "Park," developed in cooperation with the Sundance Lab.


Monika achieved a notable feat at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014, with two films she worked on, "Imperial Dreams," directed by Malik Vitthal and starring John Boyega, and "Difret," directed by Zeresenay Mehari. Her outstanding cinematography earned her Best Cinematography nominations at both Sundance and the Camerimage Film Festival.


Recently, she completed the feature film "City of Lies," directed by Brad Furman and starring Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker, as well as the FX series "Trust," directed by Danny Boyle. Her work on "Trust" garnered her a 2019 nomination for Best Cinematography from the Polish Cinematographers' Association (PSO).


In the commercial field, Monika achieved significant recognition as the first female cinematographer to receive the Creative Circle Award for her work in the Libresse "#Bloodnormal" campaign in 2018. Moreover, she was nominated for British Arrows Awards for her work on BMW and Nike commercials, both directed by Daniel Wolfe.


A distinguished member of several prestigious organizations, including the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG), Polish Society of Cinematographers (PSC), and European Film Academy (EFA), Monika Lenczewska continues to shine in her craft, showcasing her talent and artistry on various remarkable projects. Notably, she achieved the Gold Winner status at the British Arrows 2019 Awards for her cinematography in the Nike Russia "Never Ask — Maltzsev" campaign, directed by Daniel Wolfe.
