Based in London
Medb Riordan MD, EP and co-owner of production house Academy. In her 15 years in the industry Medb has worked alongside award winning commercials and music videos directors such as Jonathan Glazer, Martin De Thurah, Frederic Planchon, Seb Edwards, Ian Pons Jewel, Billy Boyd Cape and Si&Ad, many of whom began their careers at Academy.
In 2018 Medb became joint MD and partner of Academy, which has since been named Production Company of the Year by multiple awards bodies and advertising industry publications, as well as winning APA awards, British Arrows, UK MVAs, and Gold Cannes Lions.
In 2021 Academy received the Ciclope Grand Prix for “Alexander McQueen: First Light” by Jonathan Glazer, and in 2022, a rare D&AD Black Pencil for work on the Frontline19 Campaign with Adam&Eve DDB. Academy Photo launched at the beginning of 2019 to much success, producing work for editorial, commercial and galleries.
In 2022 Medb produced her first feature film with Academy, the A24/Film4 Savanah Leaf debut, due for release in 2023.
