Growing up in Southern California, Laroche developed a deep passion for movies from an early age when he stumbled upon his parents' extensive film collection. This ignited his interest in filmmaking, and during his high school years, he delved into the craft by writing screenplays, directing his own homemade movies, and teaching himself the intricacies of editing using Final Cut Express. After graduating, he pursued a degree in Film & TV at California State University Los Angeles, where he gained comprehensive knowledge of film production and discovered his true calling: editing.

Since embarking on his professional journey, Laroche has collaborated with renowned clients such as Adidas, Nike, Champs, Quickbooks, Hulu, Nissan, and Facebook. He has worked alongside esteemed agencies including Wieden + Kennedy, TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, and 72 & Sunny. Laroche has also had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed directors such as Matt Aselton, Tim Godsall, Traktor, and Rick Famuyiwa. Throughout his career, he has always been drawn to the editorial process, recognizing it as the pivotal stage where a film truly comes to life and takes its cohesive form.
