Mario Fornies is founder of BLUR, production company based in Madrid and Barcelona, specialized in advertising, music videos and content for agencies and bands in Spain and abroad since 2004. During the last 19 years BLUR has produced commercials, music videos, short films, documentaries and internationally recognized films. This led to the creation of Blur Media in 2020.
Among its awards in the field of advertising, the 2016 Grand Prix in Cyber stands out, and the Film CraftGrand Prix in 2018 at the Cannes Film Festival, where it has also won several golds, silvers and broce in the Film category, as well as in other festivals such as One Show, British Arrows, AD&D , LÍA, or El Sol, among others. BLUR was named First Production Company in the Cannes Lions 2018 Global Creativity Report, was nominated for Best Production Company at the Shots Awards, and awarded for Best Production Company at the Épica or Fiap Awards. BLUR has worked for bands such as Rolling Stones or Coldplay, and clients such as Balenciaga, Nike, Coca&cola, Oldspice, etc
At Blur Media, “Kidnapped “ won Best Film and Best Director at the Austin International Film Festival. Also has recently produced the feature film “La Mala Familia” directed by BRBR, awarded in numerous labs and festivals and selected in Oficial competition in IFFR , and whose distribution rights have been acquired by Netflix. The short film “Nada de todo esto” directed by Francisco Canton and Pato Martinez has selected In Cannes Film Festival 2023 . Blur Media is also developing several features and short films.
