Lana Senaoui is a director with a background that seamlessly blends journalism, creative direction, and filmmaking. Before stepping behind the camera, she honed her storytelling skills at The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Egypt’s leading newspaper, Al Masry Al Youm. She then transitioned into advertising as a creative at BBDO and JWT Cairo. In 2018, she made her mark as a director, launching her career with a series of debut campaigns that quickly went viral.

Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, Lana has an impressive portfolio that spans global brands like Vodafone, P&G, Unilever, Reckitt, Lufthansa, and Nestlé, as well as numerous regional campaigns. Her work effortlessly moves between narrative storytelling, fashion, comedy, and high-impact visuals while focusing on directing actors and crafting unforgettable performances.

Influenced by Alex Webb, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, and Emmanuel Lubezki, Lana’s signature style—described as “authentically stylized”—balances meticulously planned shots with free-flowing, experimental camera movement. Her ability to dig deep into a story, elevate a concept, and introduce unexpected visual transitions makes her stand out in the fast-paced world of advertising.
