K.K. Barrett is a renowned American film production designer and art director, celebrated for his work on notable movies like "Her" (2013), for which he earned an Academy Award nomination. With an impressive filmography that includes around sixteen movies, his portfolio boasts remarkable productions like "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close," "Marie Antoinette," and "Lost in Translation." In 2020, he contributed to the film "Birds Of Prey."


K.K. Barrett began his career in production design by working on music videos, where he achieved MTV awards for his exceptional contributions to "Tonight, Tonight" by Smashing Pumpkins and "The New Pollution" by Beck. His collaboration with director Spike Jonze paved the way for their first film project together, "Being John Malkovich."
