Harshad Rajadhyaksha

Based in Mumbai


Harshad is currently the Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy India.


He began his career as a Junior Visualiser at Trikaya Grey, back in 1995. In the last 30 years, Harshad has served the roles of Associate Art Director (Saatchi & Saatchi), Creative Director/Supervisor (Leo Burnett), and Senior Creative Director (JWT), before finally landing his current role.


Harshad was also trained at Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, where he earned the top rank in BFA (Applied Art) from Mumbai University in 1997.


Over the years, he has developed a unique and impactful approach to storytelling. He knows precisely how to address and tackle the lesser talked about conversations in society, and this he does with such empathy and poetic flair, that each ad remains with the audience for a long time to come. His narrative can be emotional or humorous, but above all, it is authentic.


Some of his notable work includes Dove #StopTheBeautyTest, Label 'Tea, India's Favourite Social Network' and 'Forgotten', HUL 'Shower', Clinic Plus 'Meri Beti Strong', Unilever 'Bin Boy', IDBI Bank 'Kids', and Colgate 'The Sweet Truth'.


For these campaigns, Harshad has garnered both national and international awards such as the Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clio, Spikes, Effies International, and Kyoorius Elephants to name a few.
