Guillaume Ho

Based in Paris

Guillaume started his artistic studies in painting and then in comics in Belgium followed by his studies in 3D at the EESA school, now renamed Georges Méliès, before joining The Mill Paris as an intern. In 2002, his motivation, technical skills and artistic vision quickly confirmed his place as a CG artist within the studio.

Between 2008 and 2009, in close collaboration with the H5 collective, he took on the supervision of the lighting and compositing of the short film Logorama, which won the Oscar for best animated short film in 2010 and the César for Best Short Film in 2011. After this great success, Guillaume moved away from the 2D world to progressively participate in more realistic commercials and music videos in terms of VFX and CG. He supervised the film “The Bear” for Canal + which received a Visual Effects Society Award, a Gold and a Grand Prix at Cannes Lions, and numerous other awards at the Clio Awards, D&AD, Cresta, Épiças, LIA or One Show.

From 2014 to 2019, Guillaume worked on numerous commercials with prestigious directors such as Arnaud Bresson and Matthijs Van Heijningen. He also started to create a graphic identity for France 3, a French TV channel, by participating in the creation of their famous marmots. Parodying cult films such as West Side Story, Titanic or Pirates of the Caribbean, the marmots were acclaimed by the public and awarded several trophies at Promax, EBU Connect or Eyes&Ears.

Intern, Lighter, Generalist, CG Supervisor, VFX Supervisor, Head of CG, Creative Director, Director … Guillaume has a rich experience that allows him to understand all projects and teams with a technical-creative vision.
