Gauri Shinde, the Director and Co-founder of Hope Productions, made her feature film debut with "English Vinglish," a film she both wrote and directed.
Gauri's career began in advertising as a copywriter, but her passion for filmmaking led her to transition into the industry. After spending some time at the films division of Lowe Lintas, she embarked on her independent filmmaking journey, directing over a hundred commercials for renowned brands such as Havells, Tanishq, LG, Axis Bank, ITC, Unilever, P&G, Tata Group, Byjus, A23, and others.
Her strength lies in her narrative skills, ability to elicit candid performances, and commitment to a simple yet elegant visual style.
Following the global success of "English Vinglish," which premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in 2012 to critical acclaim, Gauri wrote, directed, and co-produced "Dear Zindagi," starring Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan.
Some of Gauri Shinde's notable works includes, Ariel's "Share the Load" campaign, Tanishq's "A Wedding to Remember" and WhatsApp Global campaign "Cut it Out."
