CJ Mirra, the artistic pseudonym of London-based recording artist, composer, and sound designer, John Sampson, is known for his unique blend of live analogue instruments, electronic elements, and ambient textures. His music transcends the boundaries between composition and sound design, creating immersive sonic experiences.
Since 2015, CJ Mirra has garnered recognition for his compelling film scores, with his work being featured and acclaimed at prestigious festivals such as TIFF, BFI London Film Festival, and SXSW. In 2018, he received a BIFA (British Independent Film Awards) nomination for 'Best Sound' in recognition of his exceptional contribution.
In addition to his composition work, CJ Mirra has collaborated with renowned artists including Mount Kimbie, Lindstrøm, and Mike Slott, showcasing his versatility and talent in the studio. He continues to work with these past collaborators on various exciting future projects, while also focusing on his much-anticipated debut solo record.
