Camille Summers-Valli


Camille Summers-Valli is a multifaceted creative, encompassing the roles of director, artist, and fashion photographer. Her body of work embodies a sensory and visually captivating style, drawing inspiration from the realms of fashion, nature, and documentary activism.


In 2015, Camille made her directorial debut with the film "Big Mountain," a collaboration with the ICA and MoMA. The film intimately follows the journey of a small Navajo community as they strive to retain their ancestral lands amidst a series of evictions. Continuing her exploration of profound subjects, her film "All That Is" delves into the complexities of love, encompassing its ecstasy, challenges, and uncertainties. The film premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest and Cannes Voice of a Woman in 2017.


Camille has directed music videos and fashion campaigns for esteemed clients, including Chanel, Gucci Bloom, Dazed Beauty, Hot Chip, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, and her most recent collaboration with Låpsley.


One notable project by Camille is "Still I Rise," a stirring commercial for the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development. This powerful work, featuring the voice of Maya Angelou, provides an intimate glimpse into the lives of female agricultural workers worldwide.


A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Camille Summers-Valli was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and raised in Nepal. Currently based in Berlin, she continues to push artistic boundaries and leave a remarkable impact through her creative endeavors.
