Alex Bickel embarked on his career as a commercial colourist in NYC in 2005, and later in 2012, he established Colour Collective.
Alex's expertise is divided between grading commercials, feature films, and episodic content. With a degree in screenwriting and a passion for visual storytelling, he has formed enduring partnerships with some of today's most captivating filmmakers and visual storytellers.
His impressive body of work includes acclaimed films like Moonlight, Ladybird, Mid 90s, Queen and Slim, The Farewell, The Rider, and If Beale Street Could Talk. Notably, Alex has collaborated with prestigious commercial clients, including Google, Amazon, IBM, FedEx, Mercedes, Uber, and PG, among many others.
His exceptional talent can currently be admired in Barry Jenkins' Amazon production, The Underground Railroad, a grand adaptation of Colson Whitehead's novel.
Exciting projects on the horizon for Alex include New Line Cinema's Don't Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde, and A24's Everything Everywhere All At Once, helmed by the Daniels.
