Aalap Desai is the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Tgthr, and the former Chief Creative Officer of Dentsu Creative West, Dentsu Creative Experience India, Isobar and Taproot Dentsu.
He graduated from Xavier's Institute of Communications and has worked with agencies/brands like Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, JWT, DDB Mudra and Disney+ Hotstar.
Starting his professional journey as a Copywriter, he progressed to hold Creative positions for 9 years before stepping into the position of CCO for the first time in 2022.
Earlier this year, his agency, Tgthr, went on to become the youngest agency ever to win at Cannes Lions. They bagged this award for Harpic 'Loocator'.
Desai has also written scripts for several TV shows, including MTV Sound Trippin, MX Player Thinkistaan (Season 1), and Bindaas Chickipedia (Season 2). At Dentsu Webchutney, Mumbai, Desai co-headed the creative team and was responsible for some of the agency's notable works, including Code Name: Uri, The 8-bit Journo for Vice, and The World's Most Reported Trailer for Thappad.
His brand portfolio includes McDonald's, Complan, Huggies, Nerolac, and youth-centric brands like Early Salary and MTV India.
Today, he holds over 150 international and national awards to his name, including 9 Cannes Lions, 27 Spikes Asia, and 9 Adfest wins, among many others. He was recently ranked 41st in the global creative listing of 2022 by ‘The Drum’ and was also a member of the jury at Spikes Asia 2022.
